Job Description:
The Java Developer Analyst role is responsible for all phases of development and installation of new or modified administrative application systems. Designs, develops and implements multi-tiered enterprise applications using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, SOAP, and XML to support business requirements. Follows approved corporate life cycle methodologies, contributes in the creation of design documents and technical specifications. This position will also be responsible for the technical direction of any assigned projects. Will formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Identifies user requirements, helps define system and software requirements, and prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs by performing tests. Responsibilities will include problem solving and application maintenance with on-call responsibilities but will also involve large projects to design new applications and/or convert existing applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in an IT discipline or equivalent related experience is required.
Must have 3+ years experience developing with the following: J2EE, JAVA, EJB, JSP, Struts, HTML, CSS, SOAP and XML.
IDE experience with MS Visual Studio, Websphere RAD or comparable integration environments
Must have experience with relational databases and SQL.
Must be able to consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
Excellent communication, design and documentation skills are required.

Ceridian is seeking a WebSphere Administrator, which will be responsible for administering, maintaining and supporting a multi-platform WebSphere Application Server environment including Network Deployment or Extended Deployment and WebSphere clustering.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform administrative duties, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and tuning
Perform JAVA, WebSphere and application troubleshooting with Application Development staff or other administrators and assist with problem resolution. Analyze system performance and makes recommendations for optimization
Perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting and tuning of IBM HTTP Server (Apache) including creating/modifying URL rewrites/redirects, creating and supporting multiple virtual host environments
Responsible for ensuring the WebSphere environment can be backed up and restored properly and is configured for the highest availability possible
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation, and other duties assigned by management
Other duties may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, technical education or equivalent experience in the computer field required
5+ years of experience as a WebSphere Administrator using WebSphere Network Deployment in a clustered environment
Experience with IBM HTTP Server, particularly with modredirect and modrewrite functions and including managing virtual web server instances and managing SSL key rings
Experience working with CA Wily/Introscope is a plus
Experience with WebSphere add-ons (i.e., WebSphere Edge Components) is a plus
Experience with Windows or AIX system administration is also a plus
Experience with WebSphere scripting is also a plus
Must have strong communication and phone skills, as well as excellent analytical and technical skills. Must be capable of explaining simple procedures in writing and verbally
Must be capable of coping with pressure situations, have good planning skills, and work well with others in a team environment
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with vendors, operations staff, and applications development to see problems resolved. Performs routine tasks under the direct supervision of a more experienced system administrator or manager
